Job Description

As a Host/Hostess you will work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, environment to deliver the best dining experience to our guests by:

  • Promote and maintain positive guest relations
  • Greeting guests in a friendly and inviting manner
  • Engaging in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion
  • Introducing guests to their server
  • Managing restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately setting guest expectations
  • Maintaining the flow of the restaurant

Requirements

As a server with Mali Restaurant, your goal is to provide exemplary service, great beverages and food, a professional appearance and ensure 100% guest satisfaction.

Job Description

  • Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
  • Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
  • Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explains any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
  • Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
  • Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
  • Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
  • Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred

  • Must have a minimum of one year previous serving experience

Job Description

Mali Restaurant is looking for multiple experienced cooks and kitchen helpers for opportunities on both weekdays and weekends. You will be responsible for quickly preparing beautiful dishes, working as a team, and maintaining a clean work environment. The cook we are seeking can quickly prepare high-quality dishes, have strong food knowledge, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. All cooks are expected to prep and cook food in a back of the house and kitchen environment, assist executive chef with all kitchen operations and assist in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Over 1 year of experience in foodservice.
  • Highly skilled in setting up stations inside the restaurant
  • Able to re-stock all items as required all through shift
  • Proven record of delivering outstanding customer service by preparing food items constantly and adhering to all recipe standards
  • Demonstrated ability to converse clearly and efficiently with patrons and staff
  • Track record of working positively and efficiently in a fast-paced and noisy environment
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment while abiding by all food and safety regulations
  • Must be able to work quickly in a confined area and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Basic English reading and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
